Norma Collins named NATP’s 2024 Member of the Year
The National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP) is proud to recognize long-time member Norma Collins as the 2024 winner of the annual Member of the Year award.
Collins was nominated in part due to her participation in the tax industry as a leader of NATP’s Texas chapter and in part due to her involvement in her local community of Kingsford, Texas.
Collins, 79, currently serves on the board of directors for her state chapter and was heavily involved in developing the Texas chapter’s scholarship. With a passion for empowering entrepreneurs, Collins volunteers her time to teach QuickBooks to those in her community starting a new business at no cost.
“Norma’s dedication to excellence in the tax industry is the perfect example of what it means to be named the NATP Member of the Year,” said Jennifer Van Elzen, NATP’s director of Member Services and Data Analytics. “As a long-time tax practitioner, she’s seen changes across the board, but her dedication to NATP and her state chapter remains unwavering. It is for these reasons, and many others, that we are proud to give her this award.”
The NATP Member of the Year award is given each year to an NATP member who, nominated by their peers, positively supports and represents NATP, its members, vision, mission and values, demonstrating a commitment to the professional tax preparer community.
