The National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP) is an association dedicated to providing support and resources to tax professionals across the United States. Founded in 1979, NATP has grown to become the largest association of tax professionals in the country, with over 24,000 members.
At NATP, we believe it’s important to recognize good work and build each other up. That’s why we’re pleased to announce that nominations for the 2023 Tax Professional of the Year are now being accepted!
The Tax Professional of the Year award is a prestigious honor that recognizes outstanding tax professionals who have demonstrated excellence in their field. This award is presented annually to an NATP member who has gone above and beyond in serving their clients, community and the tax profession as a whole.
To qualify for the award, nominees must:
- Be an active NATP member in good standing for at least five years
- Have at least five years of experience preparing tax returns
- Have completed 24 hours of NATP education within the last 12 months (may include 8 hours of chapter education)
Nominees will be evaluated based on a variety of criteria, including their professional accomplishments, their involvement in the tax community, and their commitment to continuing education and professional development. NATP National Board of Directors are not eligible if nominated for work done while serving on the board.
The winner will receive a FREE trip to the Taxposium to receive the award. This also includes airfare, a four-night stay and full registration. A plaque inscribed with the winner’s name and date of award will also be given. The winner will be featured on our website and will be given recognition in the TAXPRO Journal.
If you know a tax professional who deserves recognition for their contributions to the industry, we encourage you to submit a nomination for the Tax Professional of the Year award. Nominations must be submitted by June 1, 2023.
In addition to the Tax Professional of the Year award, NATP offers a range of resources and benefits to its members, including educational programs, networking opportunities, and access to industry experts and resources. We are committed to supporting tax professionals and promoting excellence in the tax profession, and we believe that recognizing outstanding professionals is an important part of achieving that mission.
